Slovenia has been the president of the CEI which includes 17 European countries. Yesterday and today there was a conference in the slovene coastal town of Portorož. The ministers signed a declaration to support other members of the CEI to join the Euro-Atlantic organizations. As membering countries like Slovenia,Austria or Slovakia and some others already are members of them. Slovenia will hand over the presidency to Slovakia.

It's already known for some time, that our tiny country of Slovenia, is in the first group of 3 countries. Slovenia is in the group with Germany and Portugal. These 3 countries will rule the EU from the beggining of 2007 till the middle of 2008 each for 6 months! This is sort of an honour for Slovenia and also an important "homework" to do everything as it has to be!
Ljubljana our capital is also one of the candidates to get the seat for te European Agency for Borders! Good luck! I hope we get it! :)
