Because I know that not many persons know about my beautifull country, I decided to tell something more about it!

Slovenia is a beatifull alpine country, located between Austria(north),Hungary(north-east),croatia(east, south),the Adriatic sea (south-west) and Italy(west). It's very mountanious, with it's highest mountain mt. Triglav some say the name comes from an ancient slavic god with three heads, never the less mt. Triglav is the most important Slovene simbol! We have put it in our coat of arms. The second national is the leaf of the limden tree. The limden tree was in the past put in the center of a village and around it stones where the village men sat and discussed the problems of the village. Why the limden tree??? It's leaf is shaped in the form of a heart, and also Slovenia is the 3rd most forested country about 60% of her surface are forests. Slovenia has also got a lot of water! Beautifull rivers and lakes are often located in mountain valleys. There's one national park ar te moment the Triglav national park, one of the biggest in Europe. It includes the Julian Alps. There are some regional parks, the most famous one is the Škocjan regional park which is also on the famous UNESCO list. There are beautiful caves with world's largest underground canyon (our Grand Canyon). Another famous cave is the Postojna cave. It's probably world's largest cave,as it hasn't been seen or discovered till the end only 18 kilometers, it's part of a complicated cave sistem. The word "karst" comes from the same named Slovene region. Now let's move to our Adriatic coast, with the biggest cliff on the Adriatic coast. On the a bit less than 50km long coastline there are beautifull beaches, and beautifull cities of Koper/Capodistria , Izola/Isola, Piran/Pirano and Portorož/Portorose. They were built under the Venetians. The region of Primorska is also famous by it's wines and wineyards, and don't forget the olivs,apricots,peaches and cherries! Now to the other side to Prekmurje and Styria with their hills these two regions are also famous by it's wines and beer. The panon plain also offers land to grow wheat and other cereals! Slovenia also has the biggest vanishing lake - lake Cerknica there are many of these lakes in the region of Inner Carniola (Notranjska). And the third wine region- Lower Carniola (Dolenjska) . And probably the region most different from the others the 4th part of Carniola - White Carniola . Named after a sort of tres with white stalks. And the costume of "Belokrajnci" is also white(belo). I forgot to mention Upper Carniola this is the region where mount Triglav and 3 of the 4 Alpine ranges are.

We live now in a time when most of the world is globalising due to some countries. And a new identities are developing! There are some positive and many negative things about it! And we should change these negative ones to positive ones! Though the problem is that some nations don't like the others! This is the first thing that should change!

Živimo v času, ko se ves svet globalizira zaradi nekaterih držav! Nastajajo nove identitete! Je nekaj pozitivnih stvari vendar je tudi veliko negativnih! Te negativne moramo spremeniti v pozitivne! Edini problem je da nekateri narodi ne marajo drugih! To je prva stvar , ki bi jo morali spremeniti!

Slovenija ima razmeroma visoko število različnih medijev. Najboljša stran slovenskih medijev pa je zagotovo, da so podatki, ki nam jih dajejo bolj resnični in korektni od tistih iz tujine. Prav tako pa niso osredotočeni na izključno en problem oz. pokrajino (CNN-> bližnji vzhod,terorizem itn.) temveč na dogodke po celem svetu!
